Contract Faculty

The Department of Social Work & Public Administration at Seton Hall University is hiring a one-year, full-time contract faculty member who will teach courses in Public Administration, perform recruitment activities for the Department’s graduate programs and who will provide administrative support to the Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Contract faculty member will teach courses in the MPA program dependent upon programmatic need, based on their area of specialization. Expertise in nonprofit management and experiential education is highly desirable. The selected candidate will support the University's commitment to grow enrollments and ensure the academic vibrancy of the Department’s graduate programs through recruitment, training and potentially publishing a newsletter.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong administrative skills
• Excellent organizational skills, written communication skills, attention to detail
• Terminal degree (Ph.D. or other doctoral-level degree) in Public Administration or related field

Desired Qualifications:

• Data driven and familiarity with reporting and analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and proven ability to learn and use new technology, including social media and university systems
• Able and willing to work non-standard/varied working hours and to travel independently

$47,998 to $65,998
