Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Toddler Assistant Teacher (ages 18mos. – 2yrs.) to join our team! We hope to find a candidate with a background in early childcare and a love for helping children grow. As a Toddler Teacher, you will assist in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our students. Your role will involve ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care, assisting your lead teacher with implementing learning activities in the classroom & communicating daily activities/routine health care with parents.
Responsibilities
Assist your lead with implementing the FunnyDaffer Curriculum within your classroom using materials prepped by the administration.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and respect among students.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Follow the classroom daily schedule that ensures children have adequate time for play, routine care, and learning activities.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support the overall goals of the preschool program.
- Communicate and update parents throughout the day using the ProCare Communications app.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
High School Diploma
- TB Skin Test
- Previous experience working with toddler-age children, preferably within a preschool or daycare setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
- A patient, nurturing demeanor with the ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
