We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Associateto join the Compliance team with primary responsibility for reviewing and supporting the accuracy of the company’s import entries. This role will help ensure customs declarations are complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulations while supporting efficient movement of goods through the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
· Review import entries submitted by customs brokers for accuracy and completeness before or after clearance
· Validate key declaration elements, including:
· Importer of record details
· Part numbers and product descriptions
· HTS / commodity classifications
· Country of origin
· Customs value / declared value
· Duty rates, special tariff exposure, and trade program eligibility
- Ensure entries are supported by commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and other required documentation
- Support post-entry amendments, protests, refunds, duty recovery, and reconciliation activity where applicable
- Maintain organized records to support customs audits and internal reviews
- Support proper HTS / tariff classification of imported goods
Qualifications
Experience in imports, logistics, customs brokerage, trade compliance, or supply chain operations
Strong attention to detail and ability to review transactional data accurately
Working knowledge of import documentation and customs processes
Preferred but not required:
Experience reviewing customs entries in the U.S., UK, or EU
Familiarity with:
HTS / tariff classification
Customs valuation principles
Duty drawback / special procedures/trade agreements
Aviation, aerospace, or industrial parts experience
Pay: $70,000.00 per year
