Responsibilities include:
- Must be a Team Player!
- Greeting patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere.
- Assist the orthodontist chairside during procedures such as bonding, adjustments, and debonding
- Take digital photographs, panoramic and cephalometric X-rays, and digital scans (experience with iTero or any digital scanner is a big plus)
- Change wires, ligatures, and elastics as directed
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols in compliance with OSHA standards
- Set up and break down chairs/operatories for each patient
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations
- Record chart notes accurately and efficiently in the practice software
- Be prepared and ready for each procedure by reviewing patients' notes to know what needs to be done
- Collaborating effectively with the orthodontist and team on efficiencies, patient care
- Assist practice in marketing tasks
- Flexibility is necessary as practice is growing!
- Position is full-time with partial week with patients, and doing other patient/lab/inventory stocking tasks; the days' structure can be discussed
- Ortho services and discounts after a certain time of employment

Preferred experience:
- Positive attitude and team spirit is essential
- Good Hand Skills essential!
- Orthodontic (or dental) assisting experience is a plus – but willingness to learn is MOST IMPORTANT (anything can be taught, training will be provided)
- X-ray certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Organized, dependable, efficient, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced (and fun!) environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Pay: TBD depending on your experience
Expected Hours: 24-32 hours a week
