When our prospective clients call us for help, they are often going through an emotionally difficult period. We are looking for an up-and-coming star to continue to grow with our firm.
Our File Clerk/Office Assistant assists our staff with providing the ultimate customer service experience. This important position involves complete administrative duties related to filing, organization and working with internal staff. It requires the right combination of organizational skills, telephone skills, empathy, and ability to work with deadlines. No prior legal experience is necessarily required (but it’s a plus).

You must be an optimistic, positive person. Our office does not do well with toxic people or negative attitudes or whiners, complainers, gossipers, martyrs, or victims. We prefer people who are not afraid of computers or learning new things that will make their jobs easier. You must be able to handle working with several different databases of information. You must be competent and proficient in the use of Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Facebook, at a minimum. If you are familiar with legal case management software, that is a plus.

- Treat an assignment given to you at 4:50 pm on Friday with the same care and skill as one on Monday morning
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database entry
- Ability to think on your feet and change gears quickly
- Go-getter with a strong work ethic and a strong eye for detail
- Legal experience a plus
Most importantly, you need to exercise a high level of professionalism as you will be dealing with confidential documents related to client's individual cases. You will interact with clients about documents we receive regarding their cases and must always represent the firm with high level customer service.Your ability to listen to what you are being told and ask follow-up questions is very important. If you cannot listen, understand, evaluate, and properly direct a call this is not the job for you.
