SESAC is looking for a Licensing Sales Team Lead (Inside Sales) to join our team in Nashville. The Licensing Sales Team Lead is responsible for selling license agreements to business owners that use SESAC represented music, as well as managing a team of direct reports. The ideal candidate should be comfortable selling on the phone and via email, be successful and motivated to meet established goals/targets, and have a proven track record of successfully managing teams.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Contacting many business owners daily (via telephone and email) to ensure proper licensing agreements are in place.
- Educating business owners on how songwriters are compensated for the use of their music and their responsibilities under US Copyright Law.
- Working to meet sales goals/targets in a fast-paced team environment.
- Answering incoming questions regarding SESAC services in a timely and professional manner.
- Researching new businesses that may require license agreements.
- Actively managing a team of 4-5 direct reports.
- Helping to lead sales training initiatives for team members and assisting team with career coaching/development.
- Helping to lead sales orientation and onboarding for new hires.
What Makes You Qualified:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven sales/management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening skills and understanding customer needs and requirements.
- An ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude during contact with potential licensees.
- Self-Motivated, dependable, and able to stay productive and focused with minimal supervision.
- An ability to successfully negotiate and motivated to meet established goals.
- Effective time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- An understanding of Copyright Law is helpful but not required.
- Experience working with Salesforce is a plus.
