Systems Engineering Services is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer with Vyatta and Fortinet experience based out of the Alpharetta GA area, this role will be Full Time in Office.

- Configure, manage, and optimize firewall devices (Vyatta, Fortinet FortiGate) across the cloud
- Enforce security policies to block unauthorized access and mitigate threats
- Monitor and analyze firewall logs to detect and respond to suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments to identify and remediate risks
- Lead incident response efforts and coordinate cross-functional remediation
- Champion security awareness and provide training across teams
- Design and implement cloud security architectures in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (VPCs, IAM, security groups, access controls)
- Leverage cloud-native security tools (WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM) to protect infrastructure
- Align with compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and cloud security best practices
- Collaborate with others to build secure, high-performance network solutions
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, latency, and packet loss across distributed systems
- Monitor and optimize network performance, plan capacity upgrades, and implement alerting systems
- Maintain detailed documentation of firewall configurations, network diagrams, and security policies
