What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician position at SERVPRO?
Your local Servpro is looking for a full-time Water restoration technician. As a Water Restoration Technician, you will be in charge of removing, replacing and repairing water damaged materials and handling any issues caused by water damage. Our technicians are the face of our organization and the first contact a client has after a traumatic situation, which is why our Water Restoration Technicians need to have good customer service and be willing to help others
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with Project Managers on multiple jobs including water, mold, and fire damage.
- Inspect, evaluate, and document water damaged properties.
- Perform on-site services including, water removal, removal of damaged flooring/drywall and setting drying equipment to dry-out the affected building.
- Cleaning, hauling debris and crawlspace/attic work are also required at times.
- Will be required to work on call shifts and overtime
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to occasionally work long hours (rotating nights and weekends)
- Must maintain a positive attitude and work well in a team
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds safely
- Must be able to follow directions in a timely manner
- Must have a desire to learn and grow
- Must be able to perform overhead tasks, as well as tasks that include frequent bending and stooping or ladders.
- Must have a clean driving record in order to operate company vehicles.
- Must pass background, mvr, and drug screenings.
