SERVPRO® of South Albany County is seeking a qualified, career – oriented Production Crew Chief.
SERVPRO® is the largest cleaning and restoration company in the country. Our company specializes in the cleanup and restoration of residential and commercial property after a fire, smoke, or water damage situation.
Required Hours: Vary between 7:00am – 7:00pm; Monday – Friday (will require some flexibility to work overtime/weekends and travel when required).
Job Qualifications:
· 1 years of water mitigation experience
· 1 years of construction experience
· Able to take direction and complete tasks as well as supervise others
· Leadership abilities; able to train others
· Comfortable with technology (iPad, iPhone, etc.)
· Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
· Possess basic math skills
· Able to complete required training both on the job and in the office
· Able to wear full face and half face respirator
· Driven to provide superior customer service
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including, but not limited to, proper pronunciation and correct use of grammar
· Able to build rapport with individuals in high stress situations; able to show empathy; able to deal with angry or discourteous customers
· Time management skills; able to effectively prioritize
· Able to thrive in a fast – paced work environment
· Able to communicate effectively with staff and customers
· Polite, presentable, and courteous to customers and co-workers
· Valid drivers license with a reasonable driving record
· Available to respond to emergency calls after hours
· Reliable transportation required
· Experience in water/fire mitigation, restoration/construction a plus but not required
· Preferred: IICRC certifications (WRT; ASD); knowledge of Xactimate
Job Responsibilities:
· Arrive at work on time and properly dressed
· Respond to service calls as needed
· Resolve problems quickly as they arise
· Communicate job progress to appropriate parties (customer, office team, production team, management)
· Ensure that customer needs and expectations are exceeded
· Write clear job scopes for crew and office teams
· Perform cleanup and restoration services at residential and commercial properties affected by water/fire/mold damage
· Duties include, but not limited to: water extraction, demolition such as removal of drywall, baseboards, and carpet, moving furniture and other household items, use of hand and power tools, and use of specialized equipment
· Load and unload trucks with equipment and debris
· Maintain a clean and orderly jobsite
· Adhere to strict uniform policy
· Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, and warehouse
· If not already IICRC certified must be able to obtain certification within a reasonable time frame
