SERVPRO of Bloomington/Pontiac is looking for an experienced, dependable Crew Chief / Restoration Crew Lead to join our production team.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can run restoration jobs, lead a crew, communicate professionally with customers, and make sure the job is done correctly from start to finish.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and can keep a crew productive without needing someone looking over their shoulder all day.

What You'll Do

• Lead crews on water, fire, mold, and other restoration projects
• Perform and oversee water extraction, demolition, cleaning, drying, and mitigation work
• Set up air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, containment, and other restoration equipment
• Monitor drying progress and make necessary equipment adjustments
• Take accurate photos, moisture readings, notes, and other job documentation
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, and our office
• Give technicians clear direction and keep the crew productive throughout the day
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Identify potential problems and communicate them before they become bigger issues
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and supplies
• Follow SERVPRO procedures and industry standards
• Participate in our rotating after-hours/on-call schedule
• Travel with our team for storm response work when major weather events create opportunities outside our local market

Storm Travel

SERVPRO responds to major storms and catastrophic events throughout the country. This position will include opportunities and expectations to travel for storm work when our team is deployed.

Storm deployments may require:

• Travel outside Illinois and potentially anywhere in the United States
• Being away from home for multiple days or weeks depending on the event
• Extended hours and overtime during major storm responses
• Working in fast-paced environments with significant water or storm damage
• Leading crews and representing our company professionally while working in other SERVPRO markets

Storm work can provide significant overtime and additional earning opportunities for employees who are willing to travel and put in the hours when communities need us most.

• Able to perform physical restoration work, including lifting equipment and materials

Previous restoration, water mitigation, construction, demolition, cleaning, or similar experience is strongly preferred.

IICRC certifications are a plus, but we are willing to invest in training and certifications for the right person.
