Job Title: Mitigation Technician
Location: Comstock Park, Michigan
Reports To: Mitigation Lead Tech/Project Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
The Mitigation Technician is a key member of our restoration team, responsible for responding to water, fire, mold, and storm damage emergencies. This role performs hands-on mitigation and cleanup work, sets equipment, and supports job documentation to ensure high-quality results and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in water, fire, mold, and storm mitigation and cleanup services
- Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA vacuums, etc.)
- Perform demolition as needed (drywall, flooring, insulation, trim)
- Clean and sanitize affected areas according to IICRC and Servpro standards
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite, vehicle, and equipment
- Document job progress, moisture readings, and customer communications using Servpro systems
- Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, and project managers
- Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment as required
- Be available for rotating on-call schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Support Crew Chief and Project Manager with job execution and site leadership
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work on feet for extended periods, and tolerate various work environments
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability
- Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred but not required:
- Previous experience in construction, restoration, general labor, or trades
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification
- Experience operating restoration equipment
- Basic understanding of moisture mapping and job documentation

Schedule & Availability
- Full-time schedule
- Must be willing to work on-call rotation for emergency response

- Competitive hourly pay based on experience: $17-$21/hour
