Maine Central Institute is seeking an energetic, team-oriented Special Education Teacher for
our 9–12 Functional Life Skills Program for the 2025-2026 school year. This position is
responsible for meeting both the academic and social/emotional needs of students, and for
collaborating closely with related service providers, staff, and families.

- 282 (or 286) Endorsement preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and manage caseloads
- Deliver specially designed instruction in ELA, Math, Science and History
- Implement and manage IEPs
- Track academic and functional progress
- Experience with behavior plans preferred
- Regular communication with families and service providers
