MSAD 54 is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Special Education Teacher (Grades 6–12) to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs while collaborating with colleagues and supervising a team of educational technicians to ensure students receive high-quality, individualized supports.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Maintain accurate and compliant special education documentation and paperwork
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals
- Supervise and support a team of educational technicians, ensuring coordinated and effective student support
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support inclusive practices and student access to the curriculum
- Monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and members of the student support team
- Participate in IEP meetings, case management, and district collaboration
- Experience with Section 28 and Section 65 billing procedures
- Experience coordinating and implementing special education services across middle and high school settings
- Experience supervising and coaching educational technicians
- Experience and knowledge in implementing post-secondary transition curriculum to prepare students with special needs for life after high school is preferred
