Risk Manager
The Risk Manager will assist member districts with loss prevention and compliance programs with respect to safety and reducing workplace injuries and to identify hazardous activities and conditions which exist in school buildings; will advise member units with technical facility-related issues and legislative matters as necessary; will provide in-service education on a variety of safety related issues on site/regionally and through digital means.
The successful candidate will have experience, and/or knowledge of safety procedures, applicable regulatory requirements in schools, and loss prevention including injury prevention and safety; ability to develop and foster relationships with a variety of school staff or other organizations; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of school staff from custodians to facility managers to superintendents; and must possess a valid Maine driver’s license; and willingness and ability to travel frequently and remain away from home for up to a week at a time to complete district inspections.
