RSU 34 is seeking a caring, hard working, and enthusiastic Educational Technician II to join our collaborative Pre-K team. This position will be based at Alton Elementary School, which houses our Pre-K program in partnership with Old Town Elementary School. Experience working with young children in a school or early childhood setting is preferred.
Summary of Job The Pre-K Ed Tech will work primarily in the classroom setting, partnering closely with the classroom teacher to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for our youngest learners. The successful candidate will assist with instruction, supervision, and daily routines, while fostering positive relationships with students and families.

Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with the Pre-K teacher to implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Provide small group and one-on-one student support to review and reinforce learning as directed.
- Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, and meal times.
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, as well as preparation and organization of materials.
- Support children’s self-help skills, including toileting and hygiene needs as appropriate.
- Carry out behavior and learning support strategies under teacher direction.
- Maintain a warm, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Complete any other appropriate duties the supervisor deems necessary.
