Behavior Interventionist
Ellsworth School Department is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable candidate who is self-starting, team- oriented and looking to become part of a collaborative staff working to meet the individual needs of students. The interventionist will be proactively working to meet the behavioral, social and emotional needs of students. This position is designed to support the behavioral needs of students through collaboration with our district BCBA and district Educational Psychologist. The role serves to provide grade progression continuity and improve outcomes for students. Strong leadership skills, organizational skills, collaboration skills and the ability to be flexible, to multitask, to case manage students and to think quickly are required to carry out the duties of this job.

The Candidate Should Have Experience In
- Collaborating on behavior plans and functional behavior assessments
- Establishing and running social groups for students
- Communicating with school staff, community providers and families
- Working knowledge of child development, disabilities, family systems, special education and 504
- Establishing an effective rapport/relationship with children, parents and a wide variety of providers
- Maintaining composure in stressful situations
- Adapting techniques to varying personalities and environments
- 282 or 286 certification required*
