Qualifications
- Formal education/training beyond high school - preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in same or similar position
- Proficient skills in the areas of; organization, communication, public relations, and computer/technology
- Knowledge of Google suite, Excel, financial software; preferably Aptafund; Student Information System/database; preferably Infinite Campus
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Experience working as a Middle School Administrator Assistant – preferred
- Serves as a liaison between the Principal, staff members, parents, outside agencies, businesspeople, students, and the public
- Creates a welcoming atmosphere on the phone and in the office for students, visitors, staff, and community members. Assists with inquiries and directs them to the proper person
- Maintains strict confidentiality of school information including students, their families, and staff
- Works collaboratively as a team member within the school
- Schedules substitutes for planned staff absences and informs substitute coordinator, as appropriate
- Processes incoming and outgoing correspondence as instructed
- Orders and maintains supplies as needed
- Performs bookkeeping activities for Central Office related to budgets, expenditures, activity accounts, petty cash, and grants, as needed
- Manages activity accounts, grants, donations, and any other accounts within the building, as needed
- Operates technology appropriate to the position, i.e., word processing spreadsheets, an ability to create graphs, as needed
- Prepares and reviews payroll information and timecards
- Electronically maintains a schedule of appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews, including the school calendar
- Assists with school events and functions
- Maintains secure files
- Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed and puts it into usable form
- Places, receives, and routes telephone calls and records messages as appropriate
- Attend meetings as request by supervisor
- Performs all other duties as assigned
