MSAD #53 is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Special Education Department. This role is essential in ensuring efficient office operations, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and supporting staff, students and families.
Key responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Special Education Director and team, maintaining accurate and confidential student records and documentation, preparing and distributing reports, correspondence and compliance documents, serving as a point of contact for staff, families, and outside agencies, tracking timelines to ensure compliance with special education regulations, and assisting with data entry and reporting requirements.

The Ideal Candidate Would Have
- High school diploma; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior administrative experience and/or experience in special education
- Prior experience with data management systems such as SCMS/GEMcare or EDMS/Acuity
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills
- Abilitiy to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of confidentiality requirements and professionalism in handling sensitive information
