Pay range: $25.00-$29.00/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
ServiceMaster of Tacoma is seeking bright, motivated, hardworking individuals to join our Accounting Team at our office in Tacoma.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Specialist to join our team. This position plays a key role in managing both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be a part of a team with shared goals, working together to complete each day’s tasks including but not limited to:
- Process and manage AR and AP transactions, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Verify and enter vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors/customers to resolve discrepancies.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2 years in AR/AP or general accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Concur, and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
