Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our team. At ServiceMaster of Athens, we specialize in helping homeowners and businesses recover from unexpected disasters caused by water, mold, fire, and smoke damage.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls for water, fire and mold damage.
- set up drying systems, dehumidifiers, and air movers to restore water-damaged structures.
- Perform demolition, cleaning, decontamination, and containment as needed.
- Assist in mold remediation projects, including HEPA vacuuming, air scrubbing, and applying antimicrobial treatments.
- Conduct smoke and odor removal services using specialized equipment and deodorization techniques.
- Take and record accurate moisture readings and job progress reports.
- Communicate job details and progress clearly with customers, supervisors, and teammates.
- Maintain Company Vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working order.
- Adhere to all company and industry safety procedures, including proper PPE use.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after hours emergency response.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restoration, construction, or related field preferred but not required
- valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with positive attitude
- IICRC Certification(s) in water damage restoration, applied microbial remediation, or Fire and Smoke Restoration preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
