Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Plano, TX or Pittsburgh, PA
Schedule: Hybrid – In Office Tue/Wed/Thu (and as needed by the management)

About the Role
ServiceLink is seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to lead enterprise reporting and advanced analytics initiatives across multiple lines of business. This role spans the full analytics lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data modeling, dashboard development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
In addition to building analytics solutions, a significant part of this role involves developing comprehensive documentation, including metadata definitions, technical specifications, process workflows, and architecture diagrams to support long‑term maintainability and governance.
A major focus will be supporting a modernization effort that includes migrating legacy SSRS reporting into Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, requiring detailed analysis of report logic, data dependencies, and system architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Dashboard & Report Development
- Develop new Power BI dashboards while maintaining and supporting existing SSRS dashboards throughout the migration process.
- Migrate existing SSRS content to Power BI/Fabric, including extensive analysis of underlying report logic and data dependencies.
- Support net-new analytic and reporting requirements.
- Integrate data from SQL databases and Microsoft Fabric Data Lake required for analytics.
Data Modeling & Architecture
- Design and deliver scalable semantic models, data marts, and reporting layers.
- Create complex DAX measures, calculations, composite models, and Direct Query solutions.
- Optimize model performance to support large datasets efficiently.
- Define and maintain the enterprise analytics architecture strategy.
- Implement best‑practice modeling principles to support self‑service analytics and organizational adoption.
- Develop workspace strategies focused on governance, cost optimization, and scalability.
Technical Documentation, Metadata Management & Data Governance
- Lead comprehensive documentation efforts, including metadata definitions, technical specifications, data lineage, data traceability, process workflows, and architecture diagrams.
- Develop and maintain robust technical documentation to support analytics modernization, model transparency, and long‑term maintainability.
- Contribute to and help enforce data governance standards, documentation frameworks, and best practices across the analytics ecosystem.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand business processes, define requirements, and deliver meaningful insights.
- Communicate complex analytical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt quickly to evolving technology landscapes.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience in data analytics and executive‑level dashboard development.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases and proficiency in SQL.
- Experience using documentation, workflow, and AI‑assisted development tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to work on‑site Tuesday–Thursday in Pittsburgh, PA or Plano, TX.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred
- Master’s degree (MS or MBA).
- Experience with Python and data engineering concepts.
- Experience building and automating ETL/ELT workflows using Python.
- Foundational knowledge of data science concepts, such as statistical analysis, feature engineering, model evaluation, or machine learning workflows.
