The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst provides companywide strategic, analytical and technical support for BI activities. The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst wiill act as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community and will provide leadership to both department and sector analytical associates. This position will be heavily involved in the development and successful delivery of Power BI dashboards, reports, data integrity, master data management and data governance. The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst wiill act as a champion for existing and new products, services, tools and platforms to advance the overall analytics capabilities of Brookfield Multifamily and other Brookfield sectors. A typical day involves supporting end user questions through direct communication, data validation, enhancing and developing new content primarily delivered through Power BI.

What your day to day might look like:
- Design, build, deliver, and maintain reports and visualizations, while adhering to best practices. Fulfil ad-hoc reporting requests and on occasion maintain a recurring reporting need.
- Understand the organization's data, definitions, use cases, and available reporting and analysis tools. Create and provide training on various models and analyses.
- Serve as a data “steward,” enabling continuous improvement in data quality. Ensure consistency in how data is disseminated and used across departments. Evaluate and shape the data infrastructure of the business and provide input regarding data strategy. Actively participate in documentation of data and data dictionaries.
- Identify sources of data, analyze quality and utility of data, use various tools to ingest data, and apply transformation logic to present datasets for consumption in reports and visualizations.
Qualifications:
- Self-Motivate, detail-oriented, and willing to think outside of the box.
- Experience producing visualizations using Power BI and familiarity with DAX coding.
- Competent excel skills. Must include pivot tables and model building that rely on connecting multiple large datasets and different sources.
- Development of queries, reports, and financial or operational analyses models.
- Customer service oriented. Comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization to facilitate BI adoption.
- REIT, Multifamily or Real Estate exposure/experience.
- Experience working with large datasets, and proficiency with data modeling/data warehousing concepts.
- Yardi & SQL familiarity.
- Familiar with Real Estate Business Analytics (REBA)
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field. (Preferred)
- Experience in the Multifamily industry. (1 to 2 years preferred)
- 5 years of Business Intelligence Analyst experience.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
