The Install Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn and assist in the installation of HVAC systems and some Water Heaters. Job Summary: The HVAC Install Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the HVAC installation process, from initial client consultation to final inspection. This role involves coordinating with customers, supervising installation teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HVAC installers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and cooperation among staff.

• Project Management:

  • Oversee all HVAC installation projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.

• Customer Relations:

  • Conduct pre-installation meetings with customers to discuss project details and address any concerns.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and professionally.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies, products, and industry trends.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams.
  • Ensure all installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

• Quality Control and Safety:

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Address any deficiencies or issues identified during inspections.

• Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of installations, including contracts, permits, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and service, to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and organization.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.

• Certifications:

  • EPA certification required.
  • NATE certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
• Comfortable working in various conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor environments.
• Capability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
