The Install Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn and assist in the installation of HVAC systems and some Water Heaters. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior technicians in the installation of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and heat pumps.
- Help with the installation and replacement of plumbing fixtures such as water heaters.
- Carry out basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and threading pipes.
- Participate in on-the-job training to gain knowledge of tools, equipment, and installation techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to provide updates and receive instructions.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to further develop technical skills and industry knowledge.
- Other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems is a plus, but not required.
- Strong desire to learn and develop a career in the HVAC and plumbing industry.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
