Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals for commercial projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to identify scope, materials, and labor requirements.
- Develop subcontractor and supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality performance.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and value-engineering discussions.
- Collaborate with project teams to transition successful bids into project execution.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, market pricing, and local subcontractor base.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction (ground-up or large-scale renovations).
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and cost structures.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $80,000-$115,000 (commensurate with experience)
