Core Responsibilities
Production Execution
- Execute assigned production tasks per SOPs and MBR instructions; examples include ingredient weighing and infusion, extraction preparation and post-processing, vape cartridge filling and assembly, and in-process quality checks.
- Follow recipes, batch parameters, and production schedules exactly as specified; document any deviation immediately.
- Maintain consistent output quality and throughput pace as directed by the Production Lead.
Batch Record & Tracking Documentation
- Complete all required MBR entries contemporaneously and accurately throughout each production run.
- Record all inputs, outputs, yields, and in-process checks as required by SOP and state compliance requirements.
- Enter required data into the seed-to-sale tracking system (METRC or equivalent) as directed by the Production Lead.
- Immediately report any documentation discrepancy or tracking error to the Production Lead.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
- Operate assigned production equipment safely and per manufacturer and SOP specifications.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment and work surfaces at the start and end of each shift and between batches.
- Report any equipment malfunction, unusual reading, or performance issue to the Production Lead immediately.
Safety & Compliance
- Wear required PPE at all times in the production environment; adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Review applicable JSA before beginning any high-risk task.
- Report any safety concern, near-miss, or incident to the Production Lead immediately.
- Maintain production area cleanliness and organization per cGMP principles and NGH sanitation SOPs.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow complex written SOPs and batch record instructions precisely and consistently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
- Comfort working with production equipment, machinery, and measured ingredients in a manufacturing environment.
- Must hold or be able to obtain all required state cannabis agent licenses.
Preferred
- Prior experience in cannabis manufacturing, food production, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing.
- Familiarity with GMP practices and batch record documentation.
- Experience with METRC or similar seed-to-sale tracking platform.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Performance Expectations
Performance is evaluated by the Production Lead and Director of Manufacturing based on: batch record accuracy, production throughput and yield, equipment cleanliness, safety compliance, and SOP adherence. Manufacturing Technicians are expected to be reliable, detail-oriented, and consistent in the quality and accuracy of their work.
Essential Functions & Physical Demands

- Extended periods of standing and manual repetitive tasks during production runs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (bulk ingredients, equipment components, finished goods).
- Exposure to cannabis plant material, food-grade and extraction-grade solvents, and associated odors.
- Work in temperature-controlled or climate-variable production environments.
- PPE as required including gloves, hairnets, eye protection, and respiratory protection.
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Technician performs hands-on production work within New Gen Holdings, LLC manufacturing facilities, executing tasks across one or more production disciplines including edibles, concentrates, and/or vape production. Under the direction of the Production Lead, the Manufacturing Technician follows established SOPs and Master Batch Records to produce consistent, compliant cannabis products. Accurate documentation, strict safety compliance, and consistent quality output are core expectations of this role.
