What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Operator position at Service Machine Company?
CNC job shop looking for lathe operator to run parts out of a variety of metals. Programming experience is not required, but would be a plus. Setups will be done for you, but you must be able to operate the machine, inspect your own parts, make edits to program as necessary, and change inserts when needed. Position will bounce around to various machines, and may also be asked to make local deliveries, load delivery trucks, operate saw, etc. Very stable company, in business 50 years, that is a great place to work and offers good benefits (health insurance, 401k with matching and profit sharing, paid vacation). 1st shift only. Schedule is 40-45 hour weeks. Currently Mon-Fri 6:00-3:30. In the summer we usually go to half day Friday's and work 6-12:00.
