Heavy Truck Builder
Qualifications:
- Comfortable reading diagrams and taking initiative
- Solid work history: 1–2 years recent heavy equipment repair, welding, or fabrication experience
- Welding certification is a plus; must have ability to pass a weld test
- Experience with electrical systems and hydraulics
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Build custom vehicles according to blueprints and schematics
- Perform GMAW & FCAW welding, including overhead welding
- Install 12V electrical systems and complex hydraulic systems
- Measure and inspect components using rulers; apply basic shop math
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other shop equipment safely
- Utilize computers for work orders and web-based training
- Lift up to 75 lbs as needed
