- Presents training presentations to staff to enhance their member service and job skills, as directed by the Manager.
- Determines the need for and creates polished training materials to be delivered via web-based training or in-person classes. Ensures correct use of grammar and spelling, and fact checks training points with applicable subject matter experts.
- Initiates new curriculum and changes to existing curriculum under the direction of the Manager. Ensures consistency throughout all materials. Coordinates changes with applicable stakeholders.
- Makes recommendations to the Manager on the best method to deliver training, depending on the target audience, objectives and scope of training points.
- Performs needs assessments and discovery interviews to determine the need and scope of training, under the direction of the Manager.
- Determines the need for and delivers refresher, gap and remedial training as needed.
- Provide support to branch and Contact Center personnel with procedural inquiries during core department hours.
- Support credit union staff with corporate projects and department projects as they relate to staff training and branch operational procedure.
- Contributes to meetings, assists with ongoing communication and work in a collaborative manner with colleagues in SS and OS Training.
- Update training and procedural material for ongoing system releases and upgrades.
- Raises concerns to the Training Manager with regard to inconsistencies or clarifications needed on training points and procedures.
- Maintains and reviews the department email inbox and ensures timely response and action is taken, if assigned.
- Ensures the Reference Guide and Learning Management System contain accurate and complete information. Initiate and make changes to these resources, if assigned.
- OS Instructors: Perform no-notice cash/plastics audits at all overseas Branches, Contact Center and Overseas HQ Supply Department in support of the Audit Department.
- Serve as back-up to colleagues in SS and OS Training.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding credit union policies and procedures, member financial data, personal information, and work-related events.
- Provide quality support and maintain a professional relationship with peers, management, other staff, and members through cooperation, mutual trust and respect.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Four-year college degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
- One year experience working in the Credit Union required. One to three years public speaking and/or training environment experience desirable.
- Established organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner, are required. Public speaking ability and experience required.
- Comprehensive knowledge on policies and operations is highly desired. Ability to organize and perform creatively without direct supervision is essential.
- Meticulousness and ability to be flexible, coordinate a wide variety of tasks, follow-through and complete projects and duties in a timely manner, and achieve department goals and objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and various web-based applications required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
