The Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in keeping our operations running efficiently by ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are procured, tracked, and delivered seamlessly. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills to support both the field and office teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate materials and equipment including receiving, deliveries, pick-ups, and order fulfillment
- Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, field teams, and office staff to meet job needs
- Meet daily with Shop Assistant/Driver to plan efficient delivery and pick-up routes
- Procure materials and equipment through vendors and suppliers
Inventory Management (Toolwatch):
- Maintain accurate inventory logs for tools, equipment, and trailers
- Track transfers, additions, and retired items using Toolwatch
- Provide monthly reports on retired equipment
- Coordinate with jobsite leadership to provide weekly inventory updates
- Identify equipment needing replacement and obtain pricing for review
Shop Organization:
- Organize equipment, materials, and supplies within the warehouse
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and tracked by job
- Sort and organize returned materials from job sites
Purchase Orders & Pricing:
- Maintain and update purchase order logs daily
- Ensure timely completion of internal invoice approval processes
- Provide clear descriptions on purchase orders
- Assist with in-store purchases as needed
- Review credit card receipts weekly with leadership
- Maintain updated pricing lists and communicate changes
Equipment Maintenance:
- Track all maintenance, repairs, and replacements
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards before deployment
- Inspect equipment upon return to the shop
- Report any issues or improper handling immediately
What we’re looking for:

- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with inventory systems a plus)
Salary
The salary range for this role is $55,000 – $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
