Service Champions is seeking an experienced Purchasing Associate to support our Operations Department by managing procurement processes, supplier relationships, and inventory coordination. Responsibilities:
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in details, quantities, and specifications
- Research and assess supplier capabilities, pricing, and product quality
- Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, contracts, and agreements
- Prepare monthly and annual purchasing reports for management review
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to monitor stock levels and reorder points
- Track order status and promptly report any delivery issues to supervisors
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and relevant regulations
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and report generation
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience in inventory or purchasing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for vendor negotiations and issue resolution
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data management and analysis
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating vendor quotes, comparing prices, and assessing product quality
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines
- Understanding of budgeting and financial best practices to ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Familiarity with procurement policies and legal compliance requirements
