Key Responsibilities
- Create, process, and manage purchase orders with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
- Coordinate product procurement and fulfillment to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to maximize value and cost savings.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers while monitoring supplier performance.
- Track and follow up on order status, shipments, backorders, and delivery schedules.
- Process and distribute purchase orders, invoices, and related purchasing documentation.
- Review and analyze purchasing reports and ad hoc data to support business decisions.
- Ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and executed, including:
- Product specifications and configurations
- Quantity increases or decreases
- Split shipments and multiple orders
- Special customer requirements
- Multiple shipping locations
- Serve as a liaison between suppliers, customers, sales teams, and internal departments regarding order status, updates, delays, and fulfillment issues.
- Resolve purchasing and fulfillment discrepancies while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Maintain accurate records and data within company systems and purchasing platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, order management, supply chain, inside sales support, or related roles.
- Knowledge of IT, technology, or Audio Visual (AV) products and solutions.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Quosal, or similar platforms.
- Experience negotiating pricing and managing vendor relationships.
