The IDD Supports Coordination Lehigh Director provides operational and people leadership for services delivered in the Lehigh Valley. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role oversees service quality, regulatory compliance, and staff support while ensuring alignment with SAM standards and state and contractual requirements. This position is designed for an experienced human services leader who can lead supervisors, manage risk, partner with stakeholders, and foster a culture of accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.
- Oversees Lehigh Valley operations to ensure high-quality service delivery and full compliance with SAM standards, state regulations, and contractual requirements.
- Supervises, coaches, and supports supervisors and team leads to drive performance, accountability, and professional development.
- Monitors program outcomes, supports audits, and implements action plans to address service gaps or compliance concerns.
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with county officials, funders, and community partners.
- Ensures clear, consistent communication across teams and with service line leadership.
- Provides steady leadership during periods of change, crisis response, or staffing transitions.
- Identifies operational risks and improvement opportunities and elevates concerns appropriately to regional leadership.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, along with at least five (5) years of experience in human services, including three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and support staff development is essential, as is strong working knowledge of compliance, audits, and service quality expectations.
- The role requires the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships with professionalism and integrity, a valid driver’s license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation.
