Position Summary
Servco-Gates is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee shop operations during second shift and help drive productivity, quality, and accountability across the floor. This role will be responsible for leading shop employees, coordinating workflow, removing roadblocks, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to keep production moving while maintaining quality expectations.
Schedule
2nd Shift
10pm – 6:30am Monday – Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support 2nd shift shop employees in daily production activities
- Coordinate workflow to ensure jobs move efficiently through fabrication and assembly
- Monitor productivity, quality, and on-time completion of scheduled work
- Help troubleshoot production issues and remove obstacles that impact output
- Work closely with engineering, project management, and day shift leadership to ensure smooth handoff of work
- Review drawings, work orders, and priorities with team members to ensure clarity before production begins
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards
- Enforce shop safety practices and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Train, coach, and develop employees on processes, expectations, and performance
- Hold team members accountable for attendance, performance, quality, and workplace conduct
- Communicate shift updates, production concerns, and status of key jobs to leadership
- Assist with staffing and labor planning based on workload and production demands
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred
- Experience in stainless steel fabrication, sheet metal, welding, or custom equipment manufacturing strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production paperwork
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple jobs at once
- Working knowledge of production flow, shop scheduling, and quality expectations
- Willingness to be hands-on and support the team as needed
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

- Foodservice equipment fabrication
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Welding and assembly processes
- Press brake, laser, or general fabrication shop knowledge
- Experience leading shift productivity and quality improvement efforts
