POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cost Accountant is responsible for overseeing and analyzing the company’s manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and operational performance at the Tulsa, Oklahoma facility. This role ensures accurate product costing, supports financial reporting, and partners with operations to drive efficiency, margin improvement, and financial discipline. The Cost Accountant plays a key role in strengthening internal controls, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing actionable insights that enhance plant performance and overall profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3–7 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or oilfield services
- Experience in standard costing and variance analysis required
- ERP system experience required; manufacturing ERP preferred
- CPA or CMA designation is a plus
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle and background check.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
But not limited to:
- Maintain and analyze standard costs for manufactured products, including labor, material, and overhead components
- Review and monitor cost absorption, labor efficiencies, and overhead allocation
- Prepare and analyze monthly inventory reconciliations and journal entries
- Oversee cycle count program and physical inventory processes to ensure accuracy and internal control compliance
- Partner with plant leadership to review production variances and identify cost improvement opportunities
- Analyze manufacturing variances including material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead spending
- Support month-end and year-end close processes related to inventory and cost accounting
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the Tulsa facility
- Monitor capital expenditures and support ROI analysis for equipment and process improvements
- Develop financial reporting tools and dashboards to provide visibility into plant performance
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and procurement teams to enhance cost transparency
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Assist with external audits and provide documentation as required
- Drive continuous improvement in cost tracking, reporting accuracy, and financial controls
- Support leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives
