There is heavy travel in this job, with some jobs being overnight. The company provides accommodations and the employee receives a stipend for overnight stays.

Job summary:

As a Telecom Lineman, you will perform aerial and underground fiber optic line construction, maintenance and repair of telecom networks. Every day will be different in a dynamic, safety-first environment. The ideal candidate embraces the freedom and responsibility of working outside, overcoming obstacles, and being part of a knowledgeable team. This is a regular, full-time position with a wage range of $25 to $40 per hour.

What you will do:

• Operate cable placing equipment, including bucket trucks, reel trailers
• Safely climb telephone poles and ladders
• Read and understand engineering plans and construction prints
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Work with specialized off-road equipment such as tracked and all-terrain vehicles

Requirements:

• 3 years of telecom lineman experience
• Valid driving license and clean driving record
• Travel in the New England region including overnight stays
• Background check and pre-employment drug test

Location:

• The Telecom Lineman is a field position with extensive travel in the New England region including overnight stays.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License with (3) or more proven years of driving experience
