What You'll Do:
- Assemble panels and borders according to established work instructions using various sewing machines (e.g., double overcaster, Brother quilter, serger)
- Sew borders to panel cloth and produce mattress and box spring covers
- Overcast edges of quilting border material rolls
- Read production tickets, gather required materials, and document work accurately
- Operate sewing machines using foot pedals and hand controls
- Move finished product, replace empty carts, and retrieve full carts of materials
- Sort, fold, and stack covers, borders, and panels as needed
- Accurately record sizes and complete required production documentation
- Perform basic machine maintenance (rethreading, needle changes, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Use measuring tools (ruler) and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions) to ensure quality and accuracy
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior sewing experience in a textile or manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience using industrial sewing equipment is a plus
- $21.00/hour (base pay)
- $2.00/hour second shift differential
