BRAKE PRESS OPERATOR

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate and program press brake machines effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that metal components are fabricated accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall production process. This is a 2nd shift position.

Duties

• Operate and set up press brake machines to bend and shape metal parts according to specifications.
• Program the press brake for various operations, ensuring precision in the bending process.
• Utilize basic math skills to calculate dimensions and tolerances for accurate fabrication.
• Perform quality checks using tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain equipment by conducting regular inspections and performing necessary maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating press brake machines or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Familiarity with stamping press operations is a plus.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Experience with plasma cutting or electrical discharge machining is advantageous.
• Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
