Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles, ensuring top-quality service for our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical components, and suspension systems, in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and drive axles to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs, including alignment adjustments and shock absorber replacements.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams for electrical system troubleshooting and repairs.
- Service vehicle electrical systems, including lighting, sensors, and electronic modules, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and effectively.
- Document all repairs thoroughly using auto estimating software and communicate findings clearly to customers.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair procedures.
- Expertise in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and automotive wiring diagrams for electrical diagnostics.
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures across various makes and models.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, transmissions, and vehicle suspension systems.
- Ability to perform diesel engine repairs along with general automotive service tasks.
- Strong technical proficiency with automotive electrical systems and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with auto estimating experience for transparent communication with clients.
