Location: New Orleans, LA (On-site - Must work from the office)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year

Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Public Relations Associate to join our team and support our organization's communication and media outreach efforts. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our public image, crafting compelling messages, and fostering positive relationships with media outlets, stakeholders, and the community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other PR materials to relevant media contacts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure media coverage.
• Coordinate and support events, press conferences, and public appearances to promote the organization.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare regular reports analyzing PR campaign effectiveness.
• Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations, media communications, or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to develop compelling content and pitch stories to media effectively.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR software.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities to juggle multiple tasks.
