OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Accountable for managing all sales activity functions in the Americas.
Essential Functions
- Lead Regional Sales Managers and Customer Service, providing strategic direction and operational oversight.
- Establish sales territories and set clear, performance-based objectives aligned with broader business strategy.
- Establish SMART (Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Timebound) plans with each market.
- Drive sales growth, meet revenue and margin targets, track performance using KPIs and KMIs for existing and new customers and products.
- Develop and maintain sales reports, forecasts, and customer data.
- Ensure adherence to pricing and margin for quotations.
- Analyze market and sales data to determine volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develop sales campaigns.
- Continuously assess customer needs, identify and help develop sales opportunities in new markets and regions.
- Partner with Marketing and Product Manager to develop marketing strategy and promotional campaigns.
- Participate in industry associations, trade shows and networking events to get brand visibility, establish “inside-track”, and foster customer engagement.
- Gather, monitor, and share competitor activity with appropriate departments to ensure we remain competitive in the market.
- Analyze and control expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Partner with Engineering and Marketing to ensure effective product deployment or sunsetting.
- Mentor team members in strategic thinking, market engagement, and opportunity development.
- Assist other departments to prepare manuals and technical publications.
- Develop and maintain a positive, motivating and engaging environment within the sales team.
- Performs all other duties as required
- Travel to customers as required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience required in Sales Management in chemical processing, chemical manufacturing, pumping, or filtration industries.
- Detailed understanding of applications in core business sectors.
- Proven track record of growing sales and driving market growth, and meeting sales targets.
