What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Assistant position at Serenity Spring Senior Living at Arlington?
Serenity Spring Senior Living of Arlington, a Long Term Care Facility located in Arlington, OH is looking for a per diem Maintenance Assistant.
Responsibilities include:
- Aiding in the day to day maintenance operation of the facility, and he/she is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on equipment.
- Assisting in performing regular daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks, as shown on “Preventive Maintenance Calendar”.
- Performs “hands on” performance of maintenance and repair work of nursing home and independant living units;
- Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, Geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkling systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
- Maintains the building in good repair and free of hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, etc.;
- Maintains the building and grounds in compliance with Federal, State and local laws; Maintains the fire alarm and emergency generator system in good working order, performs test on fire alarm and emergency generator system weekly and keeps required records of tests results;
- Maintains required records and reports as outlined in the policies and procedures of the Maintenance Department;
- Orders and requisitions supplies subsequent to Administrator's approval;
- Performs other responsibilities, as may be required, and as directed by the Maintiance Director and/or Facility Administrator.
- Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Long Term Care Facility experience preferred, but not required.
