Job Title: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Location: Serenity Smile Care, 322 N. Indiana Ave, Sellersburg, IN 47172
Employment Type: Consistent Hours of 28-32 hours/week
Schedule: Monday: 8:15am-5:30pm; Tuesday-Thursday: 7:45am-5pm; occasional Fridays

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist with a wide range of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms to reflect our high standards of cleanliness, organization and comfort
- Take digital X-rays and operate digital scanning equipment
- Maintain strict compliance with infection control, sterilization, and OSHA protocols
- Educate and reassure patients throughout their visit with clear, compassionate communication
- Accurately document patient information and treatment notes using dental practice software
- Maintain dental supply inventory and ensure operatories are fully stocked and organized
- Collaborate with team members to support daily operations and a positive team culture
- Stay engaged in ongoing learning and actively seek opportunities to expand your clinical skills
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1-2 years of recent (i.e. has to have been an active dental assistant within the past 3 years) experience in a dental office setting is required
- Dental Assistant Certification (EDDA/EFDA), Radiography, Coronal Polishing certifications in Indiana preferred or must obtain Indiana Radiography certification within 30 days of hire and Indiana Coronal Polishing & Fluoride Application within 90 days of hire
- Experience with dental practice software (for example Dentrix or Open Dental; knowledge of CareStack is a plus)
- Warm, professional communication skills with a patient-first mindset
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- A strong desire to grow professionally and stay current with dental best practices
- Professional appearance and demeanor aligned with our spa-like office environment
- A positive attitude and a strong team spirit
- Fluent Spanish speaker is a plus
