We’re looking for an Entry-Level Groomer to join our team—someone who already has a solid foundation with dogs and is ready to grow their skills in a structured, professional salon.

Serenity Pet Spa is a full-service grooming salon dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for every dog we see. We pride ourselves on teamwork, consistency, and ongoing education to maintain a high standard of grooming across our salons.
Position Overview
This is an entry-level grooming position designed for someone who has prior experience handling dogs and a basic understanding of grooming concepts. You will work closely with experienced groomers to build your technical skills and progress within the salon.
This is not a casual “try it out” position—we’re looking for someone who is serious about developing into a professional groomer.
What You’ll Do
- Prep dogs for grooming (all coat types)
- Hand fluff dry and brush out coats thoroughly
- Perform basic prep work (nails, paw pads, sanitary trims, brushing, comb outs, etc.)
- Assist groomers and communicate clearly about each dog’s condition and behavior
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Help ensure each dog has a safe, low-stress experience
- Interact professionally with team members and clients
What You’ll Learn & Develop
- Proper drying techniques for all coat types
- Deshedding methods and coat maintenance
- Product knowledge (shampoos, conditioners, specialty treatments)
- Foundational grooming structure and prep work
- Safe dog handling and behavior awareness
- Salon workflow, efficiency, and teamwork
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience working with dogs (kennel, daycare, vet clinic, or grooming environment preferred)
- Basic knowledge of dog behavior and breed types
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and improve skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to handle a physically demanding job (standing, lifting, fast-paced work)
- Team-oriented mindset—willing to both learn and support others
