About the Role

The Admissions Coordinator serves as a vital first point of contact for individuals seeking care, helping guide patients through the admissions process with compassion, professionalism, and efficiency. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of patient intake, supporting seamless transitions into treatment, and ensuring a high level of customer service and accurate documentation.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Admissions Coordinator helps maintain smooth operations while contributing to business development efforts and expanding access to care for those in need.
- Serve as a primary contact for admissions inquiries via phone, email, and in-person communication
- Coordinate the intake and admissions process from initial inquiry through enrollment
- Schedule assessments and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient placement
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Verify insurance benefits and communicate financial information clearly to patients and families
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth patient transitions into care
- Build and maintain professional relationships with referral sources and external partners
- Support outreach and business development initiatives as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience for all patients
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- CADC-R certification, minimum, required
- Experience in healthcare admissions, medical office administration, behavioral health, or a related field, preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and professional demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- A team-oriented mindset with a commitment to supporting individuals in recovery
- Ability to pass an ORCHARDS background check and drug screen (Serenity Lane is a Cannabis THC-free workplace)
