Position Summary:
The Caregiver Support Specialist is responsible for guiding and assisting caregivers in understanding and accessing their time off/leave benefits. This role ensures caregivers receive accurate information, timely support, and a seamless experience throughout the leave process. The specialist serves as a liaison between employees, HR, payroll, and benefit providers while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Support & Guidance: Serve as the primary point of contact for caregivers, educate on eligibility, and provide empathetic support.
- Leave Management: Assist with submitting, tracking, and resolving leave requests while ensuring accuracy.
- Benefit Accuracy & Maintenance: Correct regional benefit assignments, notify caregivers of expiring benefits, and update benefit hours.
- System Support & Troubleshooting: Help with ADP registration, troubleshoot access issues, reset passwords, and escalate as needed.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, ensure HIPAA and policy compliance, and stay current on laws.
- Training & Education: Create and share educational materials, conduct sessions, and provide one-on-one guidance.
- Coordination & Advocacy: Act as a liaison, support return-to-work planning, and advocate for caregiver needs.
- Customer Service & Problem Resolution: Respond to inquiries, resolve issues quickly, and provide compassionate assistance.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Track leave usage, recommend process improvements, and support policy enhancements.
Additional tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration) preferred.
- Proven experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a healthcare or human resources setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency with AxisCare caregiver scheduling features is essential.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll/HRIS systems is a significant advantage.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Empathetic and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to support caregivers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
