Position: Residential Caregiver-Weekend Part-time
Location: Albuquerque
Employment Type: Part-time position on weekends
Shift: Saturday and Sunday 3pm-11pm
Compensation: Starting at $16.00 per hour
About Us:
Serenity Home Assisted Living is a small private residential home providing 24-hour care for our elderly residents. We are currently hiring for a weekend caregiver.
If you are looking to work with a company who values the care you provide for your residents, we are what you are looking for. At Serenity Home Assisted Living, you will never have more than 7 residents to care for. All services are provided within the home, and no transportation or travel is required. We are looking for a caregiver or CNA that is committed to providing a safe, supportive, reliable, friendly service to care for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Prepare and serve meals while monitoring dietary needs.
- Assist with medications and document care as directed.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and engage residents in activities.
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing living spaces.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical or emotional conditions to supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and follow established procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience in caregiving or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in caregiving, CNA, or equivalent (preferred).
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic personality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Dependable and trustworthy with a commitment to resident confidentiality.
