Cook & Housekeeper – Small Residential Assisted Living Home

20 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday
Job Description:
We are a small, private residential assisted living home seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to fill a combined Cook and Housekeeper role. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in maintaining a clean home environment, and has a heart for caring for seniors.
Responsibilities:
Cooking Duties
- Prepare and serve daily home-style meals for residents
- Follow dietary restrictions (low sodium, diabetic-friendly, etc.)
- Keep the kitchen clean and stocked
- Manage basic food inventory and assist with grocery needs
Housekeeping Duties
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
- Handle laundry for residents and the home
- Keep supplies organized and report maintenance concerns
- Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant living environment
Requirements:
- Prior experience in cooking and/or housekeeping preferred (especially in senior care, healthcare, or hospitality)
- Must pass a background check
- Dependable and punctual
- Friendly, respectful, and comfortable working around elderly residents
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
