Serenity Care at Home is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide one-on-one care for a gentleman in Danbury, CT. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping seniors maintain their independence while providing exceptional care in the comfort of their home.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Consistent weekly hours
- Opportunity for additional shifts with other clients
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, including bathing/showering and grooming
- Light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, tidying up)
- Meal planning and meal preparation
- Grocery shopping and running errands
- Assist with daily living activities (ADLs)
- Medication reminders
- Provide companionship and engaging conversation
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
- Complete caregiver documentation and follow the client’s care plan
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of PCA, CNA, or home care experience
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (required)
- Comfortable transporting client for errands and grocery shopping
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Compassionate, dependable, professional, and punctual
- Excellent communication skills
