Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. THIS IS A PART-TIME SHIFT FROM MON-FRI. HOURS WILL VARY 7AM-1PM; 7AM-3PM & OR 7A-7PM
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations to ensure health stability
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts, ensuring safety at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
- Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information
- Engage in patient monitoring and provide emotional support to promote well-being
Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience in senior care, home health, hospice care, assisted living, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Prior experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care, memory care, or working in nursing homes is highly valued. Skills such as first aid, CPR certification, medication administration, patient observation, and familiarity with care plans are preferred. Experience working with residents who have disabilities or require specialized support—such as using Hoyer lifts or managing complex medical needs—is advantageous. A background in social work or home & community care will also be considered a plus. The role requires a compassionate attitude, excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
